Cleaning guide

How Long Does a House Cleaning Take?

A standard clean of a two-bedroom home takes about two to three hours. Deep cleans run three to six hours. Your price is fixed either way, so you are paying for the result, not the clock.

At a glance

Standard clean about 2 to 3 hours
Deep clean about 3 to 6 hours
Move-out clean about 3 to 6 hours on an empty home
Pricing fixed regardless of time

Standard clean times by home size

A studio or one-bedroom usually takes around one to two hours. A two-bedroom two-bath is about two to three hours. A larger three or four-bedroom home takes three to four hours. These are rough guides, and the condition of the home matters as much as its size.

Deep clean and move-out times

Deep cleans run three to six hours because they add the oven, fridge, cabinets, baseboards, and behind appliances. A move-out clean is a deep clean on an empty home, so it lands in the same range, sometimes faster since there is no furniture to work around.

What makes a clean faster or slower

Clutter is the biggest one: a clear countertop and floor cleans faster than a full one. Pets, a first-ever professional clean, and homes that have gone a while between visits all add time. None of it changes your price, because the quote is fixed before we start.

Common questions.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No. Most customers leave a key or garage code and come home to a clean house. If you would rather be there, that works too.

Does a longer clean cost more?

No. The price is fixed by the job, not the hour. If it takes longer than expected, that is on us.

Can you clean on a tight turnaround?

Often, yes. We do same-day and next-day cleans in most of Lexington and the surrounding towns, subject to availability.
